Backpack (1999)

This piece took place on the campus of the University of Alabama. Each participant was asked a few questions from my arm and wrote their answer on the clipboard. All of the questions pertained to food and the body. Every 30 minutes the timer on my shirt went off and I drank a sip of the liquid from the backpack. The backpack was made from plexiglass, copper, leather and latex tubing.
